  • How do I order a standard template pack online?
If you are ordering a standard pack, you can add it to your shopping basket and check out on the website. A link to the pack will be attached to the confirmation email. You can open and save the pack to your computer from there. The file is in a zipped format. When you click on the link it will open and you will see all the individual files within the zip file. If you have any difficulty downloading or saving the pack, drop me a note and I can send another copy out on an email for you.
  • How do I order a customised pack for Scotland or Wales?
Click the button to contact me, and let me know which pack you would like and which council you are under. I will take a look at the specific requirements for your council (you may need to email them to me if they are not on their council website) and let you know the timescale for creating the pack. It is usually no more than a day or two. One the pack in complete I will let you know and drop you an invoice for payment. I email the pack over once payment is received.
  • I bought a pack and now wish I had asked you to complete it for me. Can I book in for this once I have the pack at home?
Of course, in fact I often recommend that you buy the pack and go through it first as you might find it more straightforward than you expect. If you have a pack and later want me to complete it, or finish it, you can drop me a message or email and we can book you in. It will be classed as General Business Support and charged as such. You only pay for the time that you use. The 'Complete My Pack' page will give you an idea of how the process will work, and the time needed.
  • How do I order a pack and completion Bundle?
Pop the bundle into your shopping basket and check out. You will receive a blank copy of the template pack on the confirmation email, this is for your records and will help you to prepare for the questions that I will ask you. I will contact you to set up a communication channel for the questions (preferably WhatsApp) and we can agree a date to get started with your pack. It is usually within a couple of days.
  • I do not want a whole pack, can I just buy a Risk Assessment or Terms & Conditions template?
Yes, there is a page for Individual Forms on the website. Some of the most popular are available to purchase through the shop, others are available if you drop me a message and let me know what you are looking for. Note that my Terms & Conditions (Service Agreement) templates are designed to complement the Registration Form in each pack, so it is important that you double check that your own forms fully cover all the subjects discussed in the T&Cs template.
  • I don’t even know what I need to know! Where do I start?
I would suggest booking a call to talk about what you are planning to do so that we can decide together if I can help you or not. Here is some FREE advice. Write a business plan. Business plans can feel unnecessary when you are starting up, and it’s just Dog Walking, right? Wrong. They are an invaluable tool that helps you to decide which services you want to offer, how much to charge and how much you need to earn each day in order to 1) stay afloat, and 2) earn a profit. Think about which service will be your strongest offering, and which will be ‘side lines’. Think about what you can offer that makes you different to your local competition. You need to set yourself apart, especially if your area has a lot of pet businesses already. A business plan can help you to think all these things through and start off on a strong footing. It will also help you to decide if you can afford platforms such as a website straight away... do all your local competitors have one? Once you have some notes down in writing about what you want to do, and how you want to specialise... you are ready to get in touch! https://www.gov.uk/write-business-plan
  • Can my support be covered on the telephone?
Absolutely. Some services are better served in a written format, but as long as you have the ability to send photos, logos and text by email when they are needed. My clients are based all over the UK. I find that Messenger and Whatsapp work better for talking about any work that I am completing for you, but I can work in a way that suits you best.
  • What if I don't like the forms that you send me?
Template packs are offered as they stand, but are in a format that you can change yourself if you want a different look or feel. Customised work is made as close to your specifications as possible, whilst ensuring that terms and conditions are both fair and reasonable. Design is completely subjective, and although every effort is made to understand your needs before starting a task, sometimes things need a little adjustment.
  • What if my Council want something changed in a document during an inspection and I have already paid you for completing a pack?
If you are asked to make minor changes to your forms and documents during an inspection that fall within the home boarding guidance for England, Wales or Scotland, let me know and I will make the adjustments for you free of charge. New documents or significant changes taking more than 15 minutes however, would be chargeable. If your inspector is asking you to make changes that fall outside of the requirements of the guidance (they are making up their own rules), I may be able to help you to ask them why you are being asked to follow this rule. Alternatively, there are official organisations that can help you with this that I can refer you to.
  • Are these documents tried and tested?
Yes. Many of my clients are members of my Facebook support group. You are welcome to post on the group and ask them for feedback. The Home Boarding, Commercial Day Care and Kennels packs been successfully passed inspection (at 4 and 5 star rating) in over 30 boroughs, including Bracknell Forest, Rushmoor, West Berkshire, Cheshire West, Hart, and Hyndburn.
  • Will you look after my website for me?
The intention is that I design or redesign your website based on your specifications, and it is then handed back to you to be looked after going forward. Whilst that is my intention, I do look after websites for several clients who prefer to ask me to make periodic tweaks and changes rather than complete them for themselves. Most of these are Wix websites which makes it easier for me to keep an eye on them whilst checking my own sites. I am happy to provide some basic training on looking after your website, and we can decide how you wish to manage your website once you have had a look at it and got a feel for how the change system works.
  • Can you design logos?
Not professionally. There are some good logo design businesses around however, and I am happy to help you to find one. I can create something very simple to get you started, but if you are looking for something heavily customised I would recommend using a specialist .
  • How can you help me with my training course?
If you need help to find a course that meets a specific set of requirements I can help you to find a reputable company to purchase from. You may not have studied for a while, I can help you prepare to get started and show you how to structure an essay, research answers using the internet and cite book and internet sources in an acceptable way for a professional qualification. I have many years experience working as a business coach and also as a classroom trainer so I am also able to help you find the right path if you are stuck on a particular question or subject – but I won’t give you the answers, you have to study!
